Julie Mendez Designer

Hi, I’m Julie.

I’m a brand and web designer based in Austin, Texas, and since 2018 I’ve been helping clients and teams create thoughtful, polished design that works in the real world. From branding and websites to marketing design, I love building visual systems that help businesses show up with more clarity and confidence.

One of the things I’m most grateful for is that my business has grown largely through referrals and repeat clients. To me, that says a lot. Good design matters, of course — but so do trust, communication, and being someone people genuinely enjoy working with.

My experience spans both freelance and collaborative team environments, so I’m comfortable wearing different hats. Sometimes that means leading a project directly with a client, and other times it means jumping in as extra design support for an internal team. Either way, I bring a thoughtful eye, a strong work ethic, and a systems-minded approach.

I’m also deeply invested in learning and staying ahead. I’m especially excited about AI and the ways it’s reshaping creative work. I see it as a tool for working smarter, moving faster, and creating more space for higher-level thinking and better ideas.

Outside of work, I’m a mom, a maker, and someone who loves bringing creativity beyond the screen. I’m happiest when I’m creating with my hands, whether that’s crafting with my daughter, finding inspiration at flea markets, or exploring other hands-on creative outlets. I also train in Krav Maga, which has become one of my favorite ways to stay strong, focused, and energized. And when I need a change of scenery, you can usually find me working from a cozy coffee shop.

I’m always open to thoughtful collaborations! If my work feels like the right fit for your team or project, I’d love to connect.

  • Krav Maga TraningI love travel adventures that come with a little adrenaline.
  • Krav Maga TraningI like hikes that make me earn the scenery.
